Intro to Digital Storytelling

In our first Digital Arts Lab workshop, Beckley Art Center presents Intro to Digital Storytelling.  In this half-day class, participants will be exposed to the basic concepts and elements involved in composing a digital storytelling piece or video poem.  This workshop will utilize the Apple iPad as the primary tool.  Students will be introduced to equipment and apps used in creating digital stories and poetry such as Adobe Slate, audio capture, video capture and scanning techniques.  By the end of the workshop, participants will have a basic understanding of the structure of a digital story and what tools are available to compose a personal work.

Who should attend: anyone interested in learning more about using the iPad to create a digital story or poem.  This is a beginners level workshop.

Cost: Members $40, non-members $50

Instructor: Ron Bailey leads this workshop.  Bailey works across multiple mediums including poetry and short fiction, essay, photography, videography and generative art.  He is the founder of StudioElevenTen and Refocus Projects.
